This is a bit more concise note mapping for GM & GS standard drumkits (drum bank 0, programme 0). Most GM/GS drumkit maps out there don't specify what the specific drums are (e. g. they just say "bass kick 1", "bass kick 2" - leaving you to guess what the hell are those). Note: the original Sound Canvas drumkit sampled melodic (single-sided) toms. The snare drums were both tuned to G#, but the heavier snare was equalised to C# to bring out its hit/woodiness.
